About Us
At Milford Fish Docks you will find a hard working team, dedicated to keeping dock operations running smoothly and safely.
Milford Fish Docks is Wales’ largest fishing port with an average of 3,000 tonnes landed every year. We are ideally situated for vessels working in and transiting the Irish Sea, Bristol Channel and the Celtic Sea. We also enjoy close access to the M4 and the rest of the transport network.
Milford Haven has been a thriving fishing port since the 19th Century when the steam trawler ‘Sybil’ first entered the Docks. Today, we want the fishing industry to remain an important part of the area’s economic activity and growth. We are looking at ways of maintaining and increasing fishing related activity in Milford Haven, promoting the great Welsh products our fishermen bring in and increasing the consumer’s enjoyment of fish.
In the last few years we have invested in the facilities at Milford Fish Docks with the redevelopment of ‘F Shed’ into primary and secondary fish processing units, the redevelopment of the ‘Packaway’ building for fishing related storage, the creation of a new cold store and a new box washing facility. This has been helped by grant support from the European Fisheries Fund and Welsh Government.
Milford Fish Docks is part of the Port of Milford Haven. As a Trust Port, it is a key driver of economic activity in Pembrokeshire, attracting inward investment and supporting over 4,000 jobs.
